Top Sandbox Games on iOS in UAE: Q1 2025 Performance

In the first quarter of 2025, the sandbox gaming category on iOS in the United Arab Emirates saw dynamic trends across its top applications, as revealed by Sensor Tower's insights.

Roblox from Roblox Corporation experienced a notable decrease in weekly revenue, dropping from approximately $223K at the start of January to under $4K by the end of March. However, its weekly downloads displayed a steady rise, culminating at nearly 9.8K in the final week of March. The app also maintained a robust active user base, increasing from 312K to over 371K throughout the quarter.

Minecraft: Dream it, Build it! by Mojang showed a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at about $9K at the end of March. Its downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 400 per week, while active users saw a rebound from 5.5K at the start of January to over 5.2K by the end of the quarter.

Growtopia, published by Ubisoft, witnessed fluctuations in its weekly revenue, with a peak of around $6K in mid-February. Download numbers were low but showed a gradual increase, reaching over 190 by the end of March. Active users also increased steadily from 241 to 355 during the quarter.

Melon: Sandbox from Payge Ltd saw its weekly revenue rise modestly, ending March at over $500. Downloads varied, peaking at over 1K in early March, and active users consistently increased from 25.2K to 27.8K.

Lastly, Rec Room: Play with Friends by Rec Room Inc had a slight recovery in weekly revenue, ending at approximately $618. Downloads remained below 600 per week, while active users stabilized around 1.7K by the end of March.
